Fishing Trips

Spring (March through May)
Late March is prime for spotted seatrout, redfish, ladyfish, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, flounder pompano and some cobia. Tarpon may be spotted as early as late April. Fishing improves overall as the water temperature rises and weather becomes more consistent about Mid April. May is Everything month – over a dozen inshore species of fish are available.
Summer (June – Mid September)
Tarpon begin to arrive in larger numbers in May & June and can last all summer into early September, weather permitting. Tripletail, Sharks and black drum are added to the spring mix.
Fall (Late September – December)
Historically the best time of year for Big Redfish, large numbers of seatrout and some mackerel. Jack Crevalle, Tripletail and Flounder are good into November.
Winter (December – March)
Prime time for striped and hybrid bass. As water temperatures fall, Redfish and trout move into the numerous creeks and rivers in the area. This migration occurs due to the fish seeking more stable conditions as seasonal cold fronts pass through. Best fishing is on warm sunny days between cold fronts. Sheepshead are available year round but best in the winter months. Note: Unusual warm spells can bring April-like fishing conditions in February while frontal systems can adversely affect normal patterns.
